Working Toward a Brighter Future
The Lynwood Scholars Fund (LSF) was created with the idea of providing rising college students with financial assistance and mentorship. This organization was started by Angel and Jeffrey, who both graduated from Lynwood High School. As alumni of the school and as members of the community, they understand the many obstacles students face in advancing their education. LSF aims serve as a support system for many first year students.
Creating Meaningful Impact
Since our launch in 2020, the team at Lynwood Scholars Fund has worked tirelessly to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have volunteers and staff that work within the community which is what enables us to reach more and more students. Our partnership with Lynwood High School has allowed us to reach over 500 students. Past recipients of our scholarship have gone to schools such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, NYU, Stanford, and John Hopkins to name a few. While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact.
